Loredana Bottaccini (a.k.a. L. Bottaccini) is a chartered freelance translator and prides herself on a vast experience in literary translations, mainly from English and French (although she could manage Spanish and maybe some German) into Italian.

A member of ANITI (Italian National Association of Translators and Interpreters), she specialises in the translation of:

For over thirty years L. Bottaccini has been active as a voice artist  (mainly for commercials, documentaries, voice-over dubbing, audio guides, cartoons etc.) and a vocalist (she's a soprano, with extensive vocal range).

Traductrice indépendante, Loredana Bottaccini (L. Bottaccini sur la Web) a une expérience professionnelle en traduction littéraire. Elle exerce son expertise dans la traduction de littérature chrétienne: manuels, biographies, commentaires bibliques (théologie protestante et catholique), exégèse et apologétique, histoire des religions (voir la liste des o euvres traduites et publiées).

Elle traduit de l'Anglais, du Français et de l'Espagnol (langues sources) en Italien (langue cible).

A dilemma solved

"Would you rather be a translator or a voice artist?" The dilemma went on for many years.

At a loss to choose either as a career, I decided I would be both a translator and a speaker/vocalist. This means both commitment and disengagement.

As a voice artist I can offset the stress caused by silent hours spent hunched over a computer (mine is an exacting job and it can be so demanding that sometimes I find myself asking God to give me a break!) Not that I think that working as a voice artist is a breeze! Both are labours of love. And my commitment to both is unquestionable.

So give me a book to translate and a book to read before a microphone and I will gladly handle both. That's what Adverbum Italia is for.
